Default New motor is in and running!

I got my car running last fridat after 5 months of waiting. I put type r pistons and cams in it. I also put a new rsr header and act 6 puck/ extreme plate with 8.5 lbs flywheel. I have put about 600 miles on it with no problems so far. I put on some aem cam gears to match my intake and pulleys. My question is what do you guys think I will run in the quater mile? I also have a blitz 2.5 diameter exhaust and will have a test pipe installed when I do go and run it. My other question is with my stock gsr ecu keeping the rpms to 8300 am I missing the full potential of the cams? What chips are good for this setup? thanks oh yea I have a spoon head gasket to add a little more compression.

Just go run it, there are too many variables at the track, esp the driver. I would suggest going with something like a Hondata S100 for your needs.

I was thinking low 14's high 13's. I will run the car once I put some more miles on it and get my test pipe the exhaust has no flex right know because the header was a little shorter than my dc.

THe type R rev limiter is set at 8600 rpms and redlines at 8400 to give u some insight in to whether ur missing on some revs...

your itr cams are fine for the stock ecu (but ofcourse it would be better if u can get honda s100 or s200). itr cams (stock) stop makin power at bout 8100 or so.

Thanks guys! I still haven't taken it over 7,000 rpms but I am looking forward to those last 1,000. NA gsr do they just level off after 8100? It will be a while before I do the computer work but I will definately like something like the hondata.

You're not going to see 13s anytime soon with only those mods. I think you will run high 14s depending on your driving skill.

Yeah.

Maybe not HIGH 14s.... but mid-14s. Gotta give the guy the upper hand you know. I say around 14.6xx on the perfect run.

The ITR cams make power well into 9K RPM. If you get a hondata and raise the revlimit. If you shift at 8K RPM then try shifting at 9K RPM at the track. The difference is almost .5 of a second.

I had a 6 puck before and needed a new flywheel. Its not as bad as you guys make it out to be. So mid 14's seem to be what you guys think it will run? I ran 15.1 with my bolt on stuff and stock internals.
