Got new toys from an Expo Sponsor: Thanks Comptech!
Mr UPS brought these to me today . . .
They went on my car last night
Header and Adapter
Exhaust
Obligatory BLING
A few pieces of info. Comptech was very gracious to help me out with this setup after I worked with them on the Expo. I will be Dyno testing these parts at P1 Automotive (You guys know Jack right?
) around the end of the month. Hondata has also offered to help me out and are sending me a S200 system with datalogging that they have proposed I run in place of my power FC. Jack will be tuning them to see how the units do. I suspect a very similar power band and gains so the big question is what can my car with these parts and Yack tuned make?
Stay tuned to see. I will post up info on our tuning weekend soon. Might have to make it a P1 Auto meet!!

nice! i was very fond of the comptech exhuast i had on my GS-R sedan...sounded good, nice and subtle lookin from the back. And their customer support is excellent, after like 20 months there was a hole in the b-pipe from god knows what, and they sent parts to local acura place and had it fixed for free.

That comptech 4-2-1 has a 2.25" collector. It will bolt up to the stock cat.
Edit: I take that back. That doesn't look like the comptech race header, more like the comptech 4-2-1, but at this point I'm rather confused.

This is the "race header" and has a 2.5" collector, is longer than a JDM header, requires you cut and lengthen your O2 sensor wires and run a mini test pipe (adapter) as shown.

Not unless you cust your B-pipe to accommodate one. Could easily be done.

Wow, very nice Trey. I mistakenly thought (which is why i edited my post above) that it was the 4-2-1. I should have noticed the mini-test pipe.
that comptech spark plug wire cover... is that comptech part just a sticker? the CF (or fake CF) looks nice, but i wouldn't want that comptech part on there.

BTW. The engine bay pic, was that taken before the header was installed? </TD></TR></TABLE>
Sure was Brian. Chris it is a 4-2-1 just not the more conventional one

It is definitely real CF. Appears to be a sticker but wasn't looking to remove it as this was a bonus prize for putting the expo together.

Awaiting dyno #'s
That system looks nice. I'm also interested in the sound and how the header fits,as far as ground clearence that is. That's cool those guys helped you out,you deserve it after all the time you put into Eggspo

Should be good for a few extra points at the next show.

Has comptech enlarged the diameter of their catback at all?
Or does it really go from a 2.5" collector down to a 2.25" catback?

I will take pics for ground clearance. I am a big advocate of the JDM 4-1 as a bang for the buck but the fit an finish of their system and the way it bolts but makes the JDM 4-1/carsound look like a monkey designed it.
It is a very well designed system.
And clearance is better than most.

The Street exhaust is a 2.25" system. The Adapter i have give a smooth reduction to 2.25". They are producing a full 2.5" Race system to be available very soon.

Ground clearance hasn`t been an issue for me. I have about a one finger gap in front (tire n fender, not header n ground hehe)
