Default I bought Prelude - old oil question

I have bought a 4G Prelude VTEC. The lude has oil changed in November 2000 and has 4000km on it (cca 2600miles). So the oil there was 2.5 year old and even if practically not much driven, was very black. So I changed it with filter and after 100km the oil is black again. What should I do? Another oil change? removing and cleaning the oil pan?

call your Honda dealer and ask if they offer "sludge-out" treatmeant..... it basically steam cleans the inside or your engine, it's good stuff

how many miles are on the car??
Also vtec engines are prone to blow by which will also make the oil black quicker

It has 84.000 km (55.000 miles), year 1995. The lude more stayed than ran. Can the black color be because of such old oil (2.5 years in engine, but only 3k miles on it)?

I'd go with what they said. Just change it, and run it for about two days, and do it again. After two or three times it should start to look good. At most auto stores you can buy some stuff to clean it. Buy Restore 4 too, it will help since your car has been sitting around for eight years.

what he said, try the Z-max stuff, works great , and get and engine flushed. Then change the oil again, then do a really good tune up i.e-the plugs, plug wires, the distributor cap, the rotor catp, transmission service, and dont run it too hard right away, ease into pushing it for a while.Peace
