OT- What do you do...
What do you do when you see fellow type R owners parked?
So far, the two times I saw type R's parked, I wrote a little message and left it on their car. I told them who I am, to come visit honda-tech.com, and gave them my e-mail address so they could e-mail me personally.
Anyhow, I have gotten no response from either R owners.
So much for being corgial or friendly. I guess we type R owners have sticks up our butts and are anti-social.

Yes... I noticed R owners seemed to be stuck up.... not sure why.... I mean it’s not a Ferrari Enzo.... Even then, you should show some couth and be friendly with others.... I just stop waving all together... unless I know the R driver personally.

You probably scared them all away with the "ALL CAPS SHOUTING"...
Seriously though, when I got my first R I went out of my way to try and meet anyone with another that I came across, 2 out of 7 meetings turned out decent. I never left messages since I hate when people leave crap and flyers on my car and I figured I'd respect that.
But, look at it from the other guys or girls side, Unless you are actually there with your R the message thing might come off as strange or seem like someone is scoping out their car.
Sounds paranoid yes, but if someone has the time to write something out and step up to your windshield and place it, the first things in MY mind at least is not meeting others or going online, but Moving my car and Not parking it there ever again.
Maybe it's just me...
But, I do understand the meeting new R's thing and I can repsect both sides of the coin.
Now, I just wait for others to come to me. And that happened once so far but, nothing came of it more than "Hey what's up" and the obligatory even though he also had a black R "Hey, is that a REAL Type R?" I said yes, told him about local autocrosses, Honda-Tech and went on my merry way.

I leave my panties with skidmarks on the windshield and write them a 3 page letter. Then I rub the car up and down, carressing it, feeling it between the palm of my hands and then proceed to insert all four of my fingers into the exhaust tip in a circular fashion, slowly rubbing the soot out of the tailpipe.

If I have a business card, I will usually leave it with " '00 ITR #110 " on it so they know I'm not a lunatic.
Unfortunately, there would be no way that some of you could prove you're not lunatics, judging from several recent threads.</TD></TR></TABLE>
lol, oh well. I guess i'll just stop being obtrusive.
Maybe I'll just leave, "01 ITR 81 https://honda-tech.com".

the only time i have left a note is when i saw a friends ITR at the mall it basicly it just called them a ricer an that his type r was fake he was pissed till he found out it was me.
Most ITR owners that I run into around town/in the Chicago area are NOT friendly, don't care if you also have an ITR and don't know what autocross is, or why they would take their car to a track event. I get the 'tough guy/hardass' attitude when I wave, see an R at a light next to me, on the highway, or in a parking lot.
I have pretty much given up, I'm guessing if they really wanted to meet other people with their car they could search the internet with the obvious keywords and find us and ITRCA eventually.
Chris - who wishes some of the over-enthusiastic owners of other Hondas were the R owners around town.

I key their car and leave a note saying it is fake and if I ever see them around again I will lite the car on fire.
