Rear Shock Bolt **HELP PLEASE**
Ok well today i decided to help a friend by lowering his rsx type S...... We finished the front with no problem.. We get to the back and it was all cake till we got around to installing the stuff back on the car..
We got the shock up into place and we jacked the bottom of the shock up so the bolt holes would line up.. We can get the screw threw the shock but whatever we tried we couldnt get it to tighten... I mean we layed in down pouring ran for two hours trying to get this to work.... Btw, the nut is welded onto the frame so thats why it makes everything difficult....
Can someone please give us some helpful Info
Thanks.......
You need to get the hole to line up. Take the bolt out and look through the hole-use your jack and a prybar to get the holes to line up. Then put the bolt in.
You could also take out the inner pivot bolt for the LCA. Install the shock bolt, then reinstall the pivot bolt. That one is much easier to install last because the LCA acts like a lever arm when only 1 side of it is attached to the car.
