Default will a b16 drop into a 85 crx?

my friends buddy wants to know..... does it just need a mount kit or will it not work>? i dont know much of anything about the old crx's so i had to come ask....

It will drop in with a kit. The only hard part is if you have a carbed CRX. But yes, it should be fast. I have thought about doing this swap with my spare B16A.

low low 14s, maybe really high 13s....who knows, too many variables to consider.

the 87 hatch i had ran mid to low 13s (with traction problems on small slicks) with a B20 setup. but that was an Si hatch.

like i said, too many variable to consider.
