I just went to best buy to pick up a wiring harness for my 2000 Civic. I am putting in a pioneer head unit.

the harness they gave me says its for '86-'98 hondas. I am assuming this will work. anyone have any knowledge of this before i rip my dash apart to find that it wont fit?

 

Im pretty sure it wont work. I think 98+ vehicles have a different harness.

metra #s 1720 for the old one, and 1721 is the new one.


Do a search on Metra 2000 civic and you'll find what you need.

 

Yeah ... Honda changed harnesses in '98. You need Metra part # 70-1721
