my friend has a 97 GSR and he was running 15.4 with stock rims, and I/E. Now he put on 18's with 215/35's what do u guys think will be his loss at the track? thanx

 

around 15.6, what kind of 18's? what tires?

 

oh sorry i meant to put that in i forgot, they are konig somethings, Maybe Tantrums if im not mistaken, so figure 20+lbs per rim, and falken ziex, i have azenis 205/50/15 and they weigh 23 lbs so i am calculating for him even more for the ziex's. i figure he is gonna be totalling 20-30 more weight per wheel, u think only 2 tenths of a second? This kid is not a very good driver as well so

damn the azenis's weigh 23 lbs alone? Hmm I should reconsider barrowing my freind stock 15's with azenis's for my 17" Volk Te37's when i go to the 1/4. what do you think?

 

Just run it. There are alot of factors at the track.

 

If he is a bad driver then he's sparatic, you'll only know if he does...there's really no point in guessing...

 

it's not like his car is fast anyways... so who cares? 15.4 is stock... He can't be goin much slower with bigger rims...
