Who has the most miles on their 94-97 accord? What were some common problems? Are they extremely reliable cars? How do the clutches hold up? what kinda gas mileage should I expect from an lx with I/H/E? I would like to know some common problems.Any other important info when buying an accord would be extremely helpful. Thanks alot for your help.

 

My friend has a 94 EX with around 245,000 miles on it. He bought it used with 130,000 on it about 4-5 years ago. He has had no problems on it at all, except for an alternator that went bad. Tranny is still crisp (auto) and engine purrs.

 

I have a 97 with 108.000 miles on it and I have had no problems with it at all.

 

I have a 95 Accord EX with 153,000 miles. My car didn't pass smog and I need to replace the o2 sensor. Other than that, I replaced the CV boots and axles when I first got it over 2 years ago. Reliable as a ************, I love her.

 

bought my wagon in dec 01 with 106+++ on it, it now has about 158+++.

 

105K replace timing belt and driver side ball joint

 

had a 100k on mine when we did motor swap.. never had motor issues, tranny was good.. and even with the new motor, everything on the car is holding up...

 

159,xxx and only had to change the cv's no engine or tranny problems but my wheel bearings are going bad

 

385,000 miles on my 95. I changed just about everything, but among the first things to go bad was the A/C and the ABS. I'm selling it tomorrow, and it is gone!

 

when I was selling Hondas, we came across a civic with 739, 000 on the ORIGINAL engine... I was like DAMN! I belived the guy cause he was the owner of the dealership.

 

97 2.2 CL....... 95k+

doing the timing belt, water pump, balancer belt, clutch, and lighweight flywheel next week.

the most reliable car i have owned.

96 accord lx here.

 

94 LX, and now has just broken 200,000 miles, and still running strong.

 

Mine doesn't count in this case

 

i got 130,xxx range, bought it from second owner, had to replace tranny at 110, but thats from that guys driving habits... everything else is perfect...

wow makes me glad to own a 94 ex. does his vin# beigin with a J or 1?

 

94 here, 223k+ miles, it burns about a quart and a half every 3,000 miles but other than that there nothing wrong with the car.

 

95 accord lx 108,000 and i just blew the motor 3 days ago

 

got a 96 lx here... 90k, only thing was the power door actuator... just a 30 dollar fix

 

How did you do that?

 

94 ex 135000 miles didnt have any problem with it until of course start modifying

 

145k miles here on my 97 ex ... it goes through about a quart or so of oil every 3k miles.

 

How many miles do you guys get on your cars before it gets too many problems and have to sell them? over 150k or so?

 

I drove my first 94 Accord EX upto 105,000 miles before it was totaled. Other than the clutch that I changed because of burnouts, I had no problems with it. The second 94 Accord EX which I have now had 170,000 on it. I did swap the engine but the rest of the car is fine.

 

my accord has 144k on it, I work for honda and i always see 4th gens with around 300k on them and running really smooth.
