I was thinking about saving another 30 lbs from the car, would removing the front beam be an unsafe thing to do?

I'd like some feedback on this.

You might do a search for posts by " badboy ". He did a JDM front end conversion and didn't replace the front beam. Then, he got in an accident. He posted pics, so you can see what type of damage you might sustain in the event of. I think he only hit a big median after loosing control of the car on ice, too, so it wasn't even a real impact for the bumper.

30lbs is a good savings, but I can think of safer ways to achieve the same result. Shedding 30lbs myself wouldn't be such a bad idea, anyway .

 

unless she is a drag queen, i wouldn't reccomend it!

beams are there a reason, kinda like seatbelts!!! good thinkin' though....but there are much safer ways to shed some weight!

 

I'm leaning NOT to remove it... but I'm trying to get the weight down.

I don't want to remove the A/C either.
