How many 00 Rs were produced by color?
yeah I also find that hard to believe - I've run across a shitload of PYs compared to CWs and Black ones, of which I've only seen one each. Unless the black ones are running debadged with GSR wings and flying under everyone's radar...I'd be interested to find out what kind of concentration you get in various areas. Maybe all the black ones are in out-of-the-way spots, but it def. seems like I see 10x as many PYs out there, including mine.
I don't know the numbers, but from experience I would also say that there are way more yellow than black. I checked over at ITRCA and there are 109 2000 yellow ITRs registered and 69 2000 black ITRs...

I see a lot more yellow than black, but that could be because the yellow ones grab your attention. I often see them going the other way on the highway, and I know I'd never notice a black ITR going the other way unless I was already looking across the median.
I think there was around 1600 made in 2000 and of them around 800 were yellow and 400 black and 400 white. Just like everyone else this is only a guess. Has anyone ever called Honda and asked?
White are in Candada...
The number I was referring to was all of North America. I have never seen a car numbered over16xx which is why I think it was kept around 1600. Also the numbering scheme is not duplicated between Canada and the US from what I can tell. So in other words since I have 00-165 then nobody has 00-165 in Canada

I don't think anyone knows for sure....Lots of people will say there were more yellows made than black...but they are judging that by how many the see on the streets...And a yellow car is going to grab way more attention than a black one...so that is not a good method for determining how many of each color were produced.
At the local autox's we have been seeing lots more black ITRs than yellows lately...why? Who knows...
But I see no reason why Honda would go out of their way to make more of one color than the other... My bet is they made 50% of each color....
Cheese~

When black and yellow came out in 2000, several of the dealers around here couldn't get their hands on a yellow ITR, but had black ones sitting in the showroom that they couldn't sell.
I'll bet $$$ that the percentage of yellow cars was higher for 2001 than it was for 2000...
