Default Radiator fan compatibility

Well my brother is in need of another radiator fan, and was wondering if he is able to use one from another Accord or Honda for that matter. He has a 95, and wants to be able to get one from a salvage yard, but 95's are harder to find. He is low on cash, and is not able to get a new one from Honda. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

it depends on the radiator

i have a 4th gen and there is two differnt rads for mine the only diff is the mounts for the fans, kind dumb i think but hey it sells

any way go to car-part.com and search
that will find you the best price unless you can find someone that swaped out, or he can go with after market fans but thats gonna cost about the same as OEM

good luck
hope this helps

Well one is the condenser fan, and the other is the radiator fan. He doesn't even have the condenser fan, and now the radiator fan is gone. He's just wanting to throw a fan in their so he can drive his car without it overheating. Does anyone know if the other Accord fan plugs work with the 95 one?
Any ideas?

94-97 parts will work

usually the fan mounts to the braket and Honda will typically use the same fan motor and just change the mount depending upon applicaton

i just learned this

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CB7VTEC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> Just to find out which radiator came with your car, count the blades on your radiator fan (this is the fan closest to the battery you need right?), If you have 4 blades, it's a Toyo rad. If you have 5 blades it's a Denso.

they mount differently because the Accords that came out between 90-93 used different fan shrouds, depending on the different make of radiators that were put in by the factory.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

also at autozone they sell the fan motor alone for 42$ i think.

so my friend's fan is making a noise and i may just buy that instead of figuring out if a used one will work or not. first i guess i'll try taking it apart and greasing it.

no way to do a cross reference part number search on Hondanet, without knowing the model EX DX LX or if it is a Toyo radiator or an ND radiator.

I just bought the motor from NAPA and changed the motor (I did have to wire it myself though. (forgot how much it was, it was about 9 years ago).

I don't think grease will help at all, once it's shot, it's shot. Good luck
