toda header install problem - immediate help needed!!!
ugh, it's 12am.
i've got the toda header, carsound cat, and oem exhaust all lined up and everything mates perfectly together. the problem is the support bracket on the toda header is too far from the corresponding bracket on the car!? do i have the wrong header? there is no way to bend the bracket as it will hit the axle. help!!!

where to get this jdm bracket?
i can't believe it's good for the header (or block) to carry the stress of supporting the cat/header during driving.

i would still like the bracket. i guess i'm a bit paranoid after removing so many bolts to get the heavy oem manifold off the car.
ok, off to bolt this **** up and drive it. shouldn't you guys be in bed?

Bolt it up and let her rip! Spray some windex on the header and wipe it down...it cleans it up real nice just in case.

hehe Mine was kinda the opposite. The Bracket on the Toda Header broke off the header but the JDM Header Bracket itself didn't break

done! i started her up (no exhaust leaks that i could hear) and ripped down a backroad. i definitely felt a bit more of a power surge going into vtec and the car sounds slightly (hard to tell with rain and no interior
). off to bed with me.
thanks for the help

Toda header will not run properly without the brackets under extreme conditions such as AutoX and HPDEs. Spoon ones are more lightweight because its more JDM.
I am known to be nice. So I'll trade my Spoon for your Toda + $100.

so all the JDM header would have the same problem ? or just spoon and toda.
wonder if mugen would cost the same problem

There is the 96spec/USDM bracket and then the 98spec bracket. Whatever year car the header says it's made for will be what bracket you'd be needing to use.
My bracket snapped in half with my DC JDM, so I took it off. My current header also has no bracket at all. Aftermarket 16-gauge stainless steel headers aren't as heavy as the stock manifold so I don't think it's a big deal. Plus the weight is also supported by the exhaust down the collector.

haha, it might've worked last night, ray ray, but now i've rested and i'm sharp as a tack so no fooling around. i'll trade your spoon for my toda + $200! fear my regotiation skillz.
