Default couple questions for u guys.

Hello I just got my 90 civic hd dx on the road

today I made a chepo intake I used stock pying used a bout 3 inches off a integra after market intake and used a cone filter, now my car some times when I stop its like rev up and down,,, I dont have a tach so I dunno how high its revin, its not revin to high My gues is between 900, and 1300 but I dunno.

and second of all I need a new motor kinda it has 172,000 and burns oil so my friend want to sell me his 97 dx motor will that swap right in?

k first... for the cash u might spend on the DX engine u better go off by getting a Y8 or a Z6 head and mini me ur engine..... or get a whole SOHC VTEC... they go for like 300-500 range.....
anyways for the idle problem...... try reseting the ecu first..... after that see if u stil got problem.... if u do then ur EACV its either unplugged, bad or theres a hardwire problem....
if still there replace EACV (IACV - same ****)

the 97 dx's block is the same, so yea, it will bolt right in.... but like he said above, I wouldn't accually pay any money for a dx engine. If it's free, and you're only worried about reliability, not performance, go for it!
