Which aftermarket gauge did you pick, and why ?
Just curious, wondering why some people pick some over the others. There are so many out there to choose from, also if you got an auto-meter gauge one, which series is it out of. Just curious why some people picked them.
i've got all autometer auto-lites .... nitrous pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and a/f ratio gauge. i admit that the a/f gauge isnt extremley accurate but it has been somewhat helpful a few times. next up is an egt gauge, and hopefully a boost gauge(as soon as i sell my nitrous kit).
i have autometer phantom, oil pressure and a/f im going to be getting EGT, Water temp and boost. i chose phantom because they stood out, easy to read, and it helps accent my interior a little
i considered autometer because the price was so nice, but then i questioned the quality of them as well as the accuracy. i decided to pay a little more and get some greddys, and i'm glad that i did. they also look a lot cooler

i have boost a/f oil pressure water temp and volts from autometer they are the sport comp ser good gauge's nice price looks clean. also EFSIR HAS sport comp a/f water temp
I got a 88 dx h/b, so as you know i have no tach. I bought a DEFI tach and i'm going too run a autometer oil pressure, water temp and a/f in my glove box that way i keep a clean look on the dash. I have everything too install but no motor for it too monitor.

i just liked the simple/clean look. they arent too 'bling' or too boring, so i got them. the phantom series are cool too.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, keep the comments coming. Right now I think I'm either gonna go with phantom or ultra light, the big difference between the to is the cup color. 1 is silver and 1 is black. The cobalt and lunar series are really nice, but there also pretty expensive.
I had autometer Phantom gauges, but I found a good deal on GReddy gauges, and when I stepped up to the EGT gauges, I heard that GReddy was much better than Autometer. So I bought an oil pressure, boost pressure, and EGT from GReddy, and I just have my 3.75" Phantom Tach that matches the white faced GReddy gauges nicely.
BTW, Titan Motorsports, yes the Supra people, gave me a great deal on my GReddy stuff WAY back when. Not sure about their prices now, though.
1.407.977.9SEC or 407.977.9732 for those letter deficient ones out there.

very true. If your seriously going to comite to making some decent power I would think about some better than advrage gauges like Autometer
I mean i would never put some autometer in my 200whp civic(not that i have one)
I would put them into my automatic accord, just so i can somewhat over see how my motor is running. It's up to you.
(greddy, apexi, delfi, hks,)

I have a grandfather clock by autometer. i picked it because i got it for a KILLER price and it looks the best out of em all IMO.
I have autometer ultra-lights (water, volts, oil press.), more for show for now they match my interior perfect and look pretty tight. But if I was to do some serious mods I'd probably switch to greddy.
I got ur pm but I still can't use pm's for some reason, but anyways I probably like the water better, my rex is a daily driven so i wasn't to considered with 100% acurracy, if I took it to the strips or built it up any more i'd probably switch to something a little more accurate.
Biggass autometer tach, got it because it was a really cheap price (used). Glad i got it, stock tach is horribly innaccurate...try 600 RPM's off at 6500 and growing the higher you go
i have the autometer phantom series (oil pressure) but i am looking to get a different brand. greddy, defi and omori all are in the running right now. i might breakdown and get the defi ones since i plan on adding alot of gauges and i like the defi interconnection system.

im rollin deep with my Phantoms.. i like the all white effect, and i think it looks slick.. if not phantom, i would consider, "sport comp?" the silver series..
after the nitrous fire.. some ***** broke into my car and ripped them out, so im thinking of converting too.. but i think i'll stick with Auto Meter, prolly Phantom again, or Sport Comp.. but ide like to get the recall funtion.. not just shiftlight set. ide like to come off the strip, and prove that bitch pulled the 9500 its capable of.

autometer phantoms, I got a/f, oil pressure, water temp, and boost for dirt cheap from a friend. I have no need for expensive gauges, not that I wouldnt mind owning some defi gauges, but i just need a good estimate of where my motor is. Plus with a combination of gauges you can get a really good idea of whats going on, even if 1 is off by a few. Plus im datalogging my ecu so if im **** i can simply plug up my laptop and double check.
