glass top probably cost around 900? and how much for the labor?

 

are you doing it yourself or having a shop? You have to remove your whole interior (dash can stay), then remove the windshield (if it doesnt break), then drill all the spotwelds on your roof skin. Remove the roof skin, drill all the spot welds on the glasstop roof skin, then put the glasstop on your car and re-spotweld everything. Seam seal it all and then paint the roof. You will probably need a new windshield seal too.

I have no clue what a body shop charges for replacing a roof skin, but I am sure its not cheap.

 

I wonder if, by installing a Lexan roofskin, you could save weight?

with all the time and effort you doing to convert you car into a EF8, why not just save up and by a real one. Convert it to LHD and drive that?

stop getting bad ideas.... comon, your really gunna go through all that hassle for a glass pane on your roof? think of all the other, cooler, things you can do to your car...

yeah, i agree with the others. i don't really think it is worth the money or effort, because i'm sure it will be pricey to install. get some performance parts or something.

It may save a little weight, but it would get the **** scratched out of it real quick and it would probably end up leaking like niagra falls
