i seem to like it...i bought it because of the exhaust is up under the seat..i chose between cbr600rr, r6, and gixxer600. i liked the exhaust though thats why i bought it and also i was the first one in my town to get one...yessss!

Nice bike, was going to get the exact same color scheme you have but couldn't wait for Honda to stop BS'n with the release date, so I opted for something else instead. My riding friend has the same bike as you and damn is it sweet as hell, for some reason it feels more compact then my R6. Anyways IMO you should go with another exhaust besides Two Bros. I know Arrow has an exhaust for the RR.

hmmmm... why does no one choose the 636 Ninja?? That would be my choice for a new 600.

i looked at that too i guess, but insurance would have almost doubled for me because it is over a 600cc and i liked the cbr better

Yeh it looks cool.... I just bought my 03 r6 on the last thursday of march..... About 1200 miles on it so far.... I hear only the best things about myne and urs... But the thing I think is wierd is that lastnight on 2wheel tuesday the 600cc races were on the finishing lineup was first 03 r6, second kaw 599rr, third 03 r6, and fourth 03 r6... 5th was a gsx-r 600....Where was the HONDA at???? Hmmm.....

For me it came down to the cbr600rr and the new R6. I got a much better deal on the R6. Here in Dallas the out of door price for the 600rr was over 9.5k.... I got the limited black and red 03 R6 for a grand less. I'm really liking the looks of 600rr though. Nice bike and congrats to ya......

Yeah, it's a crazy high priced market down here. I drove up to Chicago last year during Labor Day weekend with a friend of mine to pick up his slightly used 01 GSXR 750. He paid $7,300 for it out the door up there, while down here they were still selling for close to two grand more before taxes! Enjoy your bike mang..
Just two things to say.
One, TBR pipes are great. I've yet to hear an exhaust that sounds as sweet on an inline as a TBR carbon pipe. Nice deep, mellow, and not obnoxiously loud.
Second. Selling point to the exhaust being under the seat is simple. Its for ground clearance. My one and only wreck was caused by my pipe dragging the ground until it levered the rear tire up off the pavement and I did my best imitation of a bowling ball. That was on an F4 with an aftermarket pipe. The stock pipe would have been even worse as I wouldn't even of made it as far as I did.
BTW, that exhause has a nice heat shield. Its not going to put anyone on the hot seat. The only "burn" they are going to get is from the piece of plywood that Honda thinks is suitable for padding on the RR.

Went to the honda dealership the other day and looked at the new 600RR. Nice bike, but i didn't like the way it positions the rider and the seat feels like you're sitting on a concrete bench. Love the styling though, and i'm sure it's a great performer. Wish they would let you test ride bikes

what do you expect, the 600rr is a race bike detuned for the street.... the tank was redesigned for a lower chin tuck (better aerodynamics)....

I am picking up mine (yellow) this Wednesday, I will try to post some pictures when I get back. Also, if anyone is interested stop by and check out 600RR.net , it is another fourm page that mainly deals with 600RR's. Enjoy.

My buddy has a red rr and loves it.It corners like no other.I havent riden it because I do not like riding other peoples bikes but I have sat on it and yes the seat feels like you are sitting on the ground. And no the passenger seat does not get hot because I asked the girl he had riding with him last weekend and she said it only got a tad warm. And BTW it is a wheelie monster.

My first mod would be buying a new seat, or making one. That thing is very uncomfortable even though I love the seat. Coming from gixxers maybe Im just spoiled.
