Just this morning a fellow HT.com member got his car stolen. I will leave it up to his discretion, if he wants to post up.

The real wringer to all of this is the fact that his car was involed in an accident a few days ago and was sent to our insurance company to have an estimate done for repairs.

After they had confirmed that the car would indeed be repairable (an unpretty T-bone) It was supposedly hauled off to my friend's choice of bodyshop.

That was suppose to be TODAY. (May 07)

7:15am this morning and, buddy get's a call from the Police telling him that his car was stolen....JDM front clip with OEM HIDs stripped found in a parking lot!!! Apparently, the car which was SUPPOSE to have been dropped off this morning during BUSINESS hours was likely dropped off at night and the keys thrown in the shop's mailslot

Well by God....can you imagine? Thieves likely spotted the car rolling around on the back of a flatbed and took note of where it was going to be deposited (in their bank account essentially)

To make matters worse, the car wasn't even put in the FRONT of the business but rather the dark as dirt back alley where the thieves, obviously made quick work of it.

While it's nearly impossible to figure out where these parts might end up....(I believe karma can be a real bitch though) If somebody catches wind of an OEM clip with/without HIDs for sale in CW....please notify me immediately. All my contact info is in my profile.

The car and parts would be from Vancouver BC, Canada.

Cliffnotes:

1) Car was smashed by a fool

2) Car was enroute to bodyshop after estimations

3) Car was left in a dark alley instead of being dropped off during business hours

4) Car was STOLEN...then stripped.

5) MISSING: OEM JDM front clip + OEM HIDs

6) Please be on the lookout

7) Somebody is going to get SHITFED!!

 

 

So all that's missing is the JDM front end, and HIDs?

I smell liability on the part of whomever left the car in such a vulnerable spot (although I unfortunately don't know very much about Canadian law). Either way, that sucks. Goes to show that things can and do always get worse, as if the accident weren't enough already.

damn that sucks. sorry to hear that whomever the owner is...

 

There should be a type-r specific insurance so when one is stolen (etc...) that the insurance company must ship a jdm one over here and have it us certified

that would own! talk about insurance fraud on the rise!

 

Im sorry but this is pissing me off. I can barely come here for one day and not see a stolen ITR thread. This is making me want to sell my car get a hatch or something.

 

I hate to see stolen R everyday when I get on H-T.

I again, will leave it up to my friend to see it he wishes to release any other info....

I'm just doing my part as his passenger in the initial accident and my duty as a friend to try and bring him a little justice....

Car WAS stolen after it was parked in the back of the bodyshop and then taken to get stripped....before it was recovered this morning...

 

That is just rediculous! Makes my blood boil

had to be planned.

to take the time to strip a front end off a car and haul it away takes a set up.

i'd ask the cops to question the moron who towed it there. i bet he was in on it.

Thank you to RagingAngel for posting this up and also i'm just glad he's okay cause he was my passenger who absorbed most of the damage. Again i'm just glad he's okay. The accident was 100% completely not my fault. And once the car was out of my hands and into the insurance companies' hands, i'm no longer responsible for it. So they SAID they'll tow it to my bodyshop.
Anyways, at the time the car was found, it was not a long distance from the bodyshop, the car was just next door to the shop, so what i thought and the police think happened was that the tow truck driver dropped my car off at the after hours of the bodyshop, i know the bodyshop pretty well and i'm sure they had no part in this and also, they stayed till 7pm to wait for my car but yet no sign. So i guess the dumbass towing company dropped it off after 7pm and shoved the forms thru their mail slot and then over night, someone must've seen my car and started planning and getting the jdm front off. What I've been told is that my interior is still there, engine is still there and wheels are still there. But my mind is not rested until i actually see the car and what they took. The police said the OEM HID headlights are missing, the bumper, the hood, and fenders.

Anyways, my car has hit rock bottom and now I truly want my car to be written off.

What type of condition is the shell in, and what is left? Let me know the updates when you hear. How bad was the crash?

Again I'm sorry about your loss, and I am not tyring to capiltolize off of it. Just asking to possibly send you financial aid in return for a shell
