I had this problem last night. I was racing my friend. The first race my car ran well, but the second and third time it did this.....when I shifted to 3rd it seem like it was not pulling as hard and vtec did not kick in until maybe 7000 rpm. It did this both times. It seemed as if it was standing still until vtec kicked in. I recently changed my fuel pump. It also bogs when I am driving about 70mph sometimes, and then my check engine light comes on. What could be my problem and how can I solve it?
Could it be that I need to clean my v-tec solenoid, or maybe change it because I have another one from a j-spec B16. Someone told me that it could be my cat also.....I'm so frustrated..

i know someone on this board who has had this v-tec problem. do a search and ull probably find an answer
