Default VAFC on h22, just a quick question.

I was thinking about putting a vafc on my jdm h22. I've heard some people on this site say not to. Should I get one? I have intake, header, exhaust, and will be doing pullies, cam gears before I put it on. I can just get it now for a really good price.

Edit: If/When I put it on I will tune it on the dyno but what should it be set at? Stock or a little under? Just curious.

They will tune it on the dyno for you. When it's first installed I would just leave it alone. You could mess things up pretty bad...

IMO, if you can get it for a good deal, go for it.

It would be better to go with the AEM EMS system, but thats over $1000 retail.

just be sure to have your car tuned.

i say get one. you can mess with it before tuning, but don't go nuts with the settings. i set my vtec to 4800 since many people reccomened that and leaned it out a tad and add fuel at vtec changeover. i'm getting it tuned next month on the dyno.

I usually hear of good results with them on H22's. I picked mine up for just over 200 bucks. Look around lots of good deals to be had on this and should help get you some extra power. I usually see nothign but good results from them.
