bike wont start
its been stored for quite awhile. its a 94 cbr600f2. i had the tank cleaned. put it back on with 2 gallons of gas. i have spark on all four wires but it wont come to life. the battery is charged. anyone have any ideas where i should be looking. the filter is brand new, i dont know if i should change out the plugs as a first move. thanks
*update the bike starts up after a little bit of gas on the filter. the battery is charging now though because after all the failed attempts its just about dead. it ran for a little while but then acted like it ran out of gas. ive got the petcock set -on right now, with 2 gallons it shouldnt be on reserve.
Same **** happened to my 91 F2.
If it backfires ill bet you anything its your plugs, mine backfired and puttered to death b/c i tried to turn it on when the battery was dead. When that happens fuel still gets dumped and your plugs get fouled, i also had spark on all four but it was the problem.
It could be the petcock tho, i would change the plugs especially if you tried to turn it on when the battery was dead.
Good luck

ok, vacume off the petcock going to the intake manifold wasnt hooked up. now i think its flooded though, so im just waiting it out.
update. i think you're right. the plugs are done. it wont kick over at all now. so tomorrow morning ill have to change the plugs out.
they look like fun, not too much room in there

the petcock is good, it is backfiring now. its still kinda crappy outside, hopefully the clouds will clear up soon. im going to try hooking jumper cables from my car to the bike and see if the battery is just not charged well enough now. if that doesnt work the plugs will get changed.
*new plugs, with it hooked up to the civic battery. still no go. it smells like gas, i just had the choke open and didnt touch the throttle at all.

You put in new plugs??
if you did, did you crank the motor without the plugs in to get rid of the gas? Or just let the gas evaporate?
If its backfiring its a sure sign that your plugs are bad. Lemme know.
