Hi, me and my friend each bought a Bel Express 906 and today he was driving by a street with a cop shooting radar and it didnt go off, anyone with this is there anything you have to set up to make it work corectly or do you just plug it in? And does anyone know if Las Vegas uses VG-2? Thanks

VG-2 is a radar detector detector used by police where radar detectors are not legal. Since they are legal in Las Vegas, I doubt that they would be using it. What would be the point?

If the detector did not go off at all and you were that close to the cop, he wasn't shooting his radar. Probably had an instant-on system and just didn't turn it on for you.

 

We werent sure what that vg2 was so my friend turned it on, maybe thats why it didnt go off since radars arent illegal in vegas.

 

That wouldn't shut off the detection capabilities, though it would have reduced them to some extent since the detector is running in "stealth mode" (to avoid being detected).

You said that you passed by a road where the cop was shooting radar, you can't get an accurate reading shooting from a right angle like that. It has to be head on or the car has to be going away from you. Sounds like he was shooting radar on the cross street, or he was using laser.
