Default ca. state ref ticket ?

on the ticket the sticker says you cant drive te car till you take it to the ref, and if yu get pulled over they can/will impound your car.
anyone ever get a ref ticket and get pulled over after? what happened?. if i get pulled over again can that cop even tell if i got a ref ticket.. or do they put like a note in their system or something.. just curious. i dont even know how long the sticker said you cant drive anymore.. maybe they always said that

well whenever you recieve a ticket from an officer they first run your plates through the system to check if your car is: 1. stolen 2. un-insured or 3. if you have outstanding tickets or warrants, etc. so if you did not get a ticket the second time you got stopped chances are the officer did not run your plates, but if you did, the info about the referee station should have been on the system, and you got very lucky. I would suggest you get the ticket taken care of... if you are in newport, or anywhere in that area, the best smog referee that i have heard of is at Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach... good luck
