car lags around 5k rpm help!
i have a 94 auto... (dont laugh
)
when it revs up to around 5k rpm
it has a slight lag like its not moving anywhere
mainly around the 60 -70 mph range but maintaining speed only,
unless i floor it a little then it boost back up to normal...
this usually happens around warm weathers,
anyone know what might be the cause of this?
thanks..
(ex. cruising at 65 mph and wanna go faster but im pressing on the pedal a little harder but it maintains speed and doesnt accelerate, then when i floor it down it jerks forward and then it accelerates normally)
heres a few things i tried doing, not sure if itll help
-adjust the screw on tb (turned it 1 1/2 times from the beginning)
-tightened the tb wires
-changed motor oil/tranny fluid

This may sound a little wierd and probably isn't what it is but, my catilytic converter was stopped up and I had kinda the same problems. Just an idea
I really don't know what else it would be w/o being there to see what your talking about. Maybe its like someone said tranny slipping but it doesn't sound like it from what you described.

well the tranny i just replaced it maybe like 4 months ago...
so i doubt thats the problem there...
and for the cat. convert i have it stock still but running a
exhaust on it.... think that could be the problem?
