i was hit by a big dump truck, i was stopped at a stop light, and he said his brakes didn't hold, so he rammed me, hes 10000000000% at fault so i get a new car and money. this happened to my old ef 4 door, so i think that the 4th gens are cursed for me, so i thin k i'm going ot get a 5th gen, sorry to trade over guys, your all really cool. thanks, for all the help you guys have given me, hope to post new pics of my new car soon, k peace. can still find me int he FI forum.

get whatever you can thats still in one piece off your car n sell it, the lip, bumper lights and etc. are still salvageable. Dont sell big **** like the bumpers tho unless your insurance company is ok with it. When my brother totalled his TL, he wanted to take the tail lights but they didnt let him, apparently even if your car is totalled really bad, insurance companies sell it even if it looks really really bad. So little **** like bumper lights, the stock lip and etc. wont make a difference, they wont notice n e ways. Might wanna take some light harnesses like the plug and wires from your corner lights and tail lights, if you like doing DIY crap theyll come in handy... i still kick myself sometimes for selling my old 89 CRX tail lights with the lighting harnesses still in them...coulda used them

the lip has a nice sized cut in it from the tow truck guy running this bolt across it, i live in HI anyway, so it would cost more to ship than the lip is worth. sorry.

going to part out somewhat, but its an auto, and the motor is a little nudged by the front clip going into it. not worth to take out, might take out dash and some interior, but thats about it. take out my new coilovers and audio cables and stuff.

about the neck, yeah it does hurt and my back, i wasn't wearing seatbelt, neither was my friend. hehe, i know and i have a four point harness sitting in the back of the chair. LOL. oh well going to the doctor tomorrow, see how that goes, hopefully get like $4ish grand for this ****.

not going to take another chance with an ef, this was my second one. i need to build my car down here in Hi before i leave for washington in Sept. for college. i have all my motor, turbo, fmic, etc, waiting to be dropped in, so need new EG to drop it in.

My neck is sore adn my back i think i'm going to ask for like $2500 for the total from the guy, cause i think we're going to keep it out of insurance, so $2500 cash is enough for me to buy a shell and pay my uncle back the grand i owe him.

No, he said his brakes didn't hold, so he went into my lane cause my lane had less cars and he thought he would have more time to try and slow down and maybe the light would turn green. Apparently not. so i got reammed up the a$$ and the impala in front of me had a baby in it, so i'm glad that the dumptruck hit me and not the baby, atleast the baby is all right. Whethere he meant to do it or not, its going to cost him at least $2000.

 

You are a nice guy, hope you don't regret it later. I'm sure a lot of other people in that situation would be sueing the hell out of the place for neck/back. Luckily you're safe, sorry to hear about the car.

 

dang that sux. but jeez 2500 is nothing. if it was the trucks fault then take it to insurance there was nuthing the driver could have done. i got more than 2500 when somebody broke into my car. and there was only 1200 damage. i dont no, i think you should ask for more. cuz doctor bills n shyt like that will cost you. good luck

 

I say you should atleast go to the doctor and or chiropractor.. Your neck and back are sensative areas, and even though you may think the pain is nothing it might be a on going thing that will increase and never go away.. Dont worry about the cash right now, or worry about his insurance, worry about your self... Go through the proper procedure either way you will come out with something...

 

you should get 3-4k for the car alone & then sue the insurance co for another 20k- my gf totaled her Prelude due to someone else's ignorance & she got 10k for the car + 25k for pain & suffering. she obviously had to pay the attorney some, but she still walked away w/ a profit. it just makes a bad situation a little more bearable.

 

Ouch man, think things through before you go settling this under the table. Neck/back injuries often show up later not always right away.

the guy is suuuuuppppperr frickin nice, so i don't want to screw him i just want enough to pick up my new 92 shell, pay back my uncle, his grand, then have some left over to pick up some parts to finish my z6 turbo. i just want to go to the doctor, chiropractor(sp), fix me up, get my shell and start dropping things in it already. this is my second ef that got totaled in like a year. atleast this time the guy stayed and i got insurance out of it, my last ef 4 door, the guy hit me TWICE, then slammed me into the curb, and dug, i couldn't catch him, my rear cross member was snapped and my wheel busted. i couldn't go faster than 40mph or my car would start to shimmy and drift and make me crash again.

i'm scared about going thru the insurance and not getting as much cause the car is a 91 honda civic hb dx with only sounds, ac and auto. kelly bb said about $3000 for it, but i doubt the insurance company will give me the high private seller blue book. so i figure don't get greedy, make money here to get my shell and shyt, help the guy out and not screw his insurance rates for the rest of his life. i can't stress how nice he is and not exactly the richest guy in the world.

he called my work that day,cause i told him that i was going to miss work, and he told them that he hit me and that i couldn't come in, and it was all his fault. HOW'S THAT?! super cool guy.

Do you think i should go with the insurance? or just go to the doc/chiro, send him the bill, get about the blue book and call it even without raising his rates?

please lmk, i don't want to get screwed or screw him. thanks for any and all help and sympathy/ empathy.

btw i'm sorry for the long post, but i'm kind of fawked up right now.

 

nice car .LOVE the color. same sheet here . drove into work sunday nite and it hailed baseball hail for 20 minutes . my car will probably be totaled but can`t wait to start a new project on it. buy back and boost the crap out of it . american hotrod ins rocks anus , if totaled they cut me a check for 20 G`s . to rebuild of course. hahahahaha
