brakes are sqeeling
I picked up my R from the dealer about a week ago.. and lately my brakes are squeeling pretty bad so I will take it back to acura and have them fix it
but generaly how good are OEM Type R brake pads? or should I go with aftermarket pads later down the road

At a minimum, you should check the thickness of the pads to see if they need replacing. The thorough way to do it is to remove a wheel and check the length of both pads. However, as a preliminary check, you can look through the spokes of the wheel and check the thickness at the top of the outer pad, using a flashlight if necessary. Even if you're not a do-it-yourself kind of guy, you should learn how to do this, since it's just a matter of looking at your car. Anyone who is handy with cars can show you how. (It's the same on the ITR as on most other cars.)
The OEM ITR pads are just fine if you're not doing a lot of track events.

squealing just means the pads are vibrating - doesn't mean they are broken - unless the pads are really low in terms of pad material - but you should learn how to check your pads yourself - it's really easy.
Buy some of that brake quieter gooo stuff and put it on the back of your brakepad (not on the side facing the caliper) and it should knock out all the vibration.
OEM pads are pricey, but they get the job done depending on your driving conditions. Whatever you do, don't buy AEM pads at your dealership because I was quoted a ridiculous about for them.
