Anyone know of a workable retrofit that would allow me to install a 1994 Honda Accord 4dr EX radio and CD player in my 1993 Accord 4dr EX? I have confirmed that the dimensions work, if I take out the box that is under the existing radio, and also the wiring is identical. The problem is the way the unit is bolted in in a 94 differs from a 93. Thanks for any ideas.

 

i believe they sell a mounting kit too, like 8.99 for single deck, little bit more for double sandwich type.
get those better one, the cheapo one that i got for my beater sucks..

high end audio place would charge you 25 to install with the mounting kit included.
if you bring your own radio and stuff...pepgirl have those radio installation kit i think...i got my pos from walmart

 

I might just turn the job over to a pro installer. The thing that has me worried is the honda radio-cd combo for the 94 model screws in differently than the 93. I guess a pro-intaller will tell me real quick if I have purchased a radio that can't be put in my car. Can you confirm that the mounting kit would allow me to make a 94 factory radio-cd fit securely in my 93? I am guessing that mounting bracket would allow me to put screws in places other than those honda designated. iam7head, thanks again for you comments and getting me on the right track.
