Default jerk off?

the paint on my wiper arms is chipping off. i want to remove them, bead blast and repaint. my question, is there more than one nut holding them on? i removed the top nut and gave it a slight yank and they didn't budge.

i have no doubt they have been on for the ten years the car has been around, so they might be stuck. but before i jerked them off of there i wanted to be sure i wouldn't break anything.

you just pull it up. I found it works good to flip the actual wiper blade up and that motion will force it up and it will come off.

The wiper arm has to be in the up position to pull it off of the spline gear. I painted mine and it turned about perfect. I ran into the same problem though and it took me a couple minutes to figure it out.

It is very important to mark the origianl postion of the wiper blade. If you do ont then it will be very difficult to line back up correctly, take it from experience.
