Default 16" Type R Wheels as an option for RSX

I was building a RSX at Acura.com when I came across a dealer installed wheel option.

They look identical to the current Integra Type R rims except they are 16" and silver.

Check em out:

Wonder if they fit current Rs????
They are 5 bolt in the pic.

I agree, they're not quite the same... The spokes on that rim look a little thinner.

2001 ITR's are Flamenco Black Pearl.
Please post or email the color code from your drivers side door jamb.
It should look like this:

2001 Black Tegs are Nighthawk Black Pearl, as in Philly_01_ITR_Driver's sig. 2000 models were FBP... The color codes are almost identical...

.....actually: the '00 model year itr's ARE fbp and the '01 year itr's are nbp - there is a slight variation in the colors - I think the '01s have a bit more blue pearl in them... Also, py came in '00 and '01...

Look in the Integra Brochure for 2001, since there is no ITR specific one.

Keep reading until you come across the specifications for the Type R for 2001.

It will tell you that the Type R comes in Phoenix Yellow and Flamenco Black Pearl.

The GSR and the new Civics come in Nighthawk Black.

I'll fire up the scanner later and post the images of the brochure.

The new black for the RSX is not NHB, it is a solid black with no metalic in it. I saw the code, but I don't remember what it was. I have the RSX brochure, and I can scan it later also.

NHB and FBP are the same color.

The RSX-S I drove last night had those rims. Nice. If they are light, maybe I can get a set for the R.

All RSXs have 5 lug.

I think the new color choices for the RSX suck. They are obviously going for a more mature buyer, which is why they have "Ruby Red" instead of the wonderful Milano Red. Although, the GS-R looked a lot better in its last 2 years than it did when it was introduced (diff tails, rims, colors). Honda usually updates its cars once during their production cycle to give them a little variety. They did this with the Teg, Civic, Accord, just about every model. I think the RSX will look a lot better in a few years (the amber will be gone from the tails, I guarantee it) and the colors and rims should be better and more aggressive.

I don't know, how dumb are you? I speak from experience, not from my ***. Ever consider that I might know this for a REASON?

THEY ARE THE SAME COLOR. Ask for touch up paint for a 2001 (NHB) and you will get a bottle of paint that says FLAMENCO PEARL. For whatever reason, they changed the name and code, but the colors are EXACTLY THE SAME. My car is a 00, but the paint code is NH-(5 or 6)92p.

I have a few friends who have 01s, an we compared them SIDE BY SIDE. You cannot tell the difference.

ALL the new black metalic colored cars are the same color, both Honda an Acura.

99 prelude was NBP
00 Accord was NBP
if they just changed the name...why did they change it on different cars in different years...

and I have a bottle of touch up paint....it is Nighthawk Black Pearl...B-92P, so i dunno what your talking about with that...

I have an ITR w/ B-92P w/ B18C5 LSD. It sure is a NBP in my ITR. (it says so on my door jam) Also, I have a FBP NH-5xP '99 Civic and they are indeed a two different shades under bright sunlight.

I'm guessing that either the production date for 2001 kinda overlapped with FBP and NBP paint job in Japan. But, who knows.

Here's my story. I purchased an OEM body kit for my 2001. My car is NBP. However, the kit I purchased is painted FBP from the factory. I held the two up to each other before installation and you CAN see a difference. This difference is extremely hard to notice without a magnifying glass. In fact, it is so unnoticeable that I chose not to have the kit painted before I installed it. The difference I can see is that the FBP has a slight red flake in the paint, while I could see only blue flake in the Nighthawk. Hope this helps a little
