Spoon SW388 vs. Gunmetal Regamaster EVO
I believe you get more horsepower by having a "SPOON" logo on your wheels...
Good luck on your decision, I voted for the Flat Black Spoon SW388s
After seeing it on Eric's White ITR...I began to have wild dreams about it...huhuhu

People, use your brains. If you must put aftermarket wheels on your R, put whatever kind you like, not what the rest of the community supposedly likes!

Sorry Goose.. I didn't mean to upset you. Um by the way, this is an Integra Type R forum, not Regular Integra, and besides if you don't wanna see it, don't click on the post! Problem solved.
Spoons with red lugs!!!
I was stopped at a stoplight getting home from work tonight when some guys in a red ZX3 next to me asked me what kind of wheels I had. I pointed to the black logo right below my blindspot-inducing, powerless mirrors and said, "Spoon". "Who?" they asked. "Spoon. Check out the Honda Tuning section on Grand Turisimo 2." You can't say that about Regamaster EVOs.
Just a thought , if you like clean wheels the Spoons, IMO are very high maintainence. Brake dust shows up well in the innerwheel easily. I don't know if the pads I'm using (OEM and Axxis), but the dust gets wet and looks all brown. If you like using tire dressing, you'll have to apply it carefully with a rag or a sponge and be careful not to get it on the wheel, or else you'll need to wipe it off with a better solvent than water, like alcohol based window cleaner. The aerosol types don't work anymore. I thought about using a 16" diameter cardboard disc, but the overspray on the edges would still get on the lip of the rim.

I know I don't have an itr, but I also like the black Spoons. Anyway, is it possible to apply wax to these rims for protection from road grime, etc? Just a question. If anyone knows, let me know. Thanks.

George~ Are you ever gonna wash that thing?
The wheels may look a little better clean!
Spoons are sweet, but I dig the Regas more

And, it is hard NOT to click on the post when there are so many of the same damn debates going on over and over again. I think we need to start a wheel forum for those of you that like to discuss this topic since there seems to be such a large volume of posts on it (definitely more than what is in the s2k/NSX forum!).

Oops....I accidentally sent this post as Goose2k cuz he was logged in my machine last. In any case, this Type R superiority complex is pretty gay. You and everyone else that thinks that they are so superior because they spent more for a better car needs to get their head out of their ***. BTW, if you couldn't figure it out I have a Type R...am I allowed in this forum?

How are the black Spoon lugs going to fit your wheels. I thought the black ones were for the S2000 only. They have a different concave seat on them. I was just curious.

I agree with what you guys are saying..but this is the final part of my rant.
I have been on honda-tech since the day it started, and was on Honda-acura.net from the beginning since before that. As you can see by my post count, I obviously had a long hiatus from this board. Why? Cuz it is sickening to see the board clogged with repetition. Many times, "important" posts get lost in the sea of repetition. What we need is an FAQ so we can cut down this. The nsxprime board is a superior example of utilizing a FAQ properly. Instead of people replying with "do a search", the reply is, "look at the FAQ". And the FAQ really does answer just about EVERYTHING. Not to mention the search function on this UBB software leaves something to be desired.
Okay, end of rant. Personally, I would go with the Gunmetal Regamaster EVOs if the wheels are going to be used on the street. If they are used for what they are intended for (racing), the I prefer the spoon wheels. But, pick whatever YOU like the best.

An FAQ would be nice. I really do tire of newbies or wannabes posting things like "if I had 1500 bucks what could I do with an R?" or "My Dad's buying me an R for my 16th birthday, which turbocharger should I get."
dude does it all really matter those are really sweet *** wheels imo but for the price they just dont seem worth it, not in the pursuit or power or handling, i mean i could have a handfull of suspension mods for 2400 bucks. I could have teins, and some nice light 16 inch enkie's or something and then when i get the money down the road I could upgrade to that.
Right now i have 17in racing hart cp10's I am pretty content with them. I wish that they were availible in 16 in because they are really amazing wheels i was in love when I first saw them but now I am ready to give them away to the first person with a set of integra ls mesh wheels.
Why... because of the tires, the money is just too damn much I love to drive my car its got 84,000 miles on it and its a 99 si.
I had yoko a520's on there and they lasted 5 months regularly rotated, now I got khumos cause I didnt have near 600 bucks to buy another set of the yokos, and im sad I did becaues the sidewalls suck, I broke two of the racing harts and that is like my biggest fear right there...
if I dropped down 2500 on a set of rims and one of them got fucked up that means there value out of my pockey just raised 500 bucks you dig...
I scored my wheels for 1010 out the door, I broke two of them and I had to pay 230 a peice 4 week wait a wheel.
you know how inconveniant that is...
So think about the spoons before you purchase because even though they are the sweetest wheels out there and id dump my girlfriend for a set "well no not really i hate jackin off" I wouldnt want a set of wheels on my car some punk with a wrench and some friends would want more than me.
you underdig peoples... And all that high platform talk about regular integs was fucked up because we all drive hondas peeps.
peace out.

Gah!
Ok, I agree with your points but you failed to point out that the spoons aren't nearly as likely to get damaged in a 15" or 16" size as your 17" rh's...
Also, smaller tires are generally less expensive and there is a better selection of cheaper tires in these sizes.
To each his own.
The py spoon R should convince you to get the spoon wheels.
If money is an issue, get some millenia or FD rims - which can be had for less than $75/ rim.
Also, if you have an R you can sell your stock rims for $ to recover that spent on the pimpin wheels...
George, is your R yellow or black? Please post pics if you have black with spoons!
