i finally got around to posting pics of my injured baby. right now shes int he shop, i bent a control arm, and fucked up some other **** too, without bodywork its gonna cost around 750.

o by the way, this is all from swerving not to hit a squirrel and hitting a tree at ~15 mph.

i had more pictures, but they didnt upload correctly...anyway....this sucks.

EDIT: UrbanLegend, i appologize if this belongs in appearence. im just used to posting here.

One2chi and Honda Accord =0
Squirrl out to get a nut = 1

You haven't seen that auto commercial where the guy swerves to miss the rodent. I bet he high 5'd his buddy right next to him just like in the commercial.

I would have ran the thing over as NO animal is worth rishing your life over

Sorry about the car, looks expensive. Do you have comprehensive on the car?

Personally, I don't swerve or hit my brakes for anything other than a human or a large, inanimate object (tires, etc). Dog, cat, rabbit, squirrel, possum, etc, they'd better move or I'm going to hit them.

You'd be suprised at how few animals I actually hit, maybe one out of 20 or 30 that are in front of my car. At the last split second, most magically get out of the way. I highly recommend that you start using this tactic, no squirrel is worth risking damage to you, your car, pedestrians on the sidewalk, etc.

sad ****, i usually aim for them myself... and damnit, they usually get away. but like someone already said, its not worth messing up a perfectly good car to save a rodent. try the horn next time... or floor it, they both work in some way.

today I almost ran over some birds that did not move because they were eating some meat that was in the road I slowed a little and honked the horn so that they would move and they did.
