Default iat sensor

this is really a dsm question (i know, sorry, but i've got a honda if that makes any difference, and didn't wanna have to register on a dsm forum just to ask one question)... but i do know that at least a few hondas came with an iat sensor... so this is legit . a friend of mine has an '02 eclipse (4cyl) and just got some kinda mod for the intake air temp sensor that's supposed to trick the car into thinking it's got cooler air than it really does and i guess adjust timing and fuel accordingly for more power. It came with installation instructions, but never actually said where the sensor was located... the only thing that i knew to tell him was that it was in the vas housing...

Anybody know? I just need to know where the IAT sensor itself is.
thx

Default Re: iat sensor (jchxcrx)

The IAT (intake air temperature) sensor will be located somewhere on the intake manifold. The ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor can be located anywhere there is coolant flowing-on the head in most Honda's.
