Default What is the most power potential powerplant?

Like the title says I'm wondering which motor has the most power potential going the N/A route. I already searched and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance.

Bit vague -- what if they answered with "454cid Chevy"?

Besides context of 'the car' it's going into, there is also your investment.

Time, which means educating yourself to learn "what you want" (street, strip, WOT, low-end, rally, etc). Time to lean how to do what needs to be done. Time to locate all the parts...

Budget, be real.

Circumstance -- maybe you're lucky and have some experienced folks nearby, who will even work for !

Bisi does miracles with NA, others with B20 or B18 ls/vtecs, some with B18Cs...

They can all hit low to mid 200's with enough attention, but you're into serious budget by then.

umm. any Bseries 1.8L or more. because youd want to bore, and stroke it anyways... that way you can have the max of both.

Here is a suggestion:

GSR head, ported/flowed for 12mm cams mild resurfacing for squareness
Stock HG with ARP head studs, main cap bolts, rod bolts
Toda spec Bs, ITR LMAs, toda valvesprings, portflow retainers, cam gears
PE/Toda timing belt
ITR block w/CTR pistons
Prodrive or Toda billet B18 oil pump gear
mugen thermostat with fluidyne radiator and single fan
64mm TB/Skunk2 Intake manifold with hondata thermal break gaskets
SMSP or Hytech header w/2.5" exhaust
Comptech Ice Box
97 prelude injectors and fuel pump, B&M FPR
hondata s200 tuning, OBD1 P72ecu, full gauges
USDM ITR tranny with JDM final gear
Action Kevlar clutch/10lb flywheel

This combination could net as much as
230/150 SAE corrected at the wheels fully tuned...

Can you say 9500 RPM? such a motor with the right
driver should see 11s in a hatchie. With slicks,
dare I say 10s...

Just depends on how fast your wallet is.

Id lwish that setup can get into the 10s' but.. i highly doubt it. Most racers in the 10's have way more aggressive setups than that. The setup you mentioned is common and most arent even 11's with that combination.
To get into the 10's start looking at over 240whp for high 10 sec runs on a light *** CRX with perfect suspension setup.

Grab some imprt magazines and read up on other peoples setup. That should give you an idea of how different setup nets different whp.

11s is a beautiful thing none the less, I'll take 12 personally with somewhat of an interior. Since SgT has ran high 11s in his ITR with a similar build... it can be had in a hatch. On something like this you are talking 270/180 flywheel hp/tq from 1.8L... can you say 150ps/liter? thats insane.
