Default Car won't start.. need help.. think its a fuse

I will explain the events that took place...

Started the carup and it ran fine..of a sudden the car shuts off but there is power to the accessories like domelight.. headlight... etc...

This has happend a couple times before and it was the ignition fuse so I replaced that... but as I was replacing it i was dumb and didn't undo the negative wire to the battery and i saw some sparking inside the main fuse box...
After I fixed the igntion fuse i tried to start the car again and it would attempt to start but nothing else in the car would work such as dome light headlights power door locks etc...

Now my question is... could I have possibly shorted something while i was messing with the ignition fuse? thats the only thing I can think of since the lights worked before i started messing with that.. the car just wouldnt start.. but now the car will attempt to start but nothing else in the car will work...
Any ideas which fuse i may have blown? or maybe I blew the ecu itself?? any help would really be appreciated..

hmmm, your gonna have to start troubleshooting it. So the car doesn't start right? Check to see if the spark plugs are firing and if the injectors are spraying. You can check the ecu by taking off the covers and looking for a little burn mark on it. Double check all your fuses where you saw the sparks fly out. Check your relays also. Could be the main relay also. Could be alot of things but start checking and them

i doubt you blew the ecu. my guess is somewhere inside your dash or wiring, a positive wire is poking out somewhere and hitting ground. that maybe the reason why you're getting power one place but not another. do you have an aftermarket car stereo? if so check there first. I remember when my remote wire came loose, my car kept on dying on me and blowing fuses. checked everywhere but couldn't find anything until i took the deck out and sure enough, a loose wire!!

Let me ask you guys something.. this weekend I cleaned my engine bay with water... ya know.. just a basic garden hose and it did a good job.. but do you think water hitting a wire can cause a short? Everytime the the ignition fuse blows the thing that I remember is cleaning my engine bay... not sure but it could be..

anyway I know the igntion fuse can be replaced and my car will try to start BUT i know there is another fuse blown that is causing my actual car not to realize it has a freakin battery!

I don't think its the main fuse.. you mean the 80amp fuse thats next to the igition fuse? I looked at it and it didn't look blown.. you can tell just by looking at those bigger ones..
anyway I'm gonna take a look at it in the morning.. just hope it doesn't rain all day like it did today

Will it turn over at all?? I had a problem with two accords where it would bgin to fire, then as soon as you let go of the key, it would shut off. It was a bad ignition module on the steering column.
