What tire pressures are you Kuhmo v700 tire owners running frt and rr. I'm trying to get a general idea of what other people are doing with the Kuhmos
Thanks Mattj
Thanks Mattj
Usually 40 front (225's), about 37 rear (205's). Higher pressures in the back will allow the car to rotate better, but I didnt like how my car was handling slaloms, so I usually go with 37 rear. Experiment to see what you like

Last year I was running high pressures (low 40's), but I lowered the pressure to mid 30's this year and I like it better. In the August edition of Grassroots Motorsports they test DOT R-compound tires. They ran the Kumhos at a high pressure first, resulting in disappointing results. They lowered the pressures and had much improved times.(On a road course, not an autox). I can to this same conclusion from my own autocrossing experience. I think the sidewalls of the V700 are stiff enough not to worry about tire rollover. I usually autox on semi-rough ashpalt, outside temperatures in the 80-90's during the summer. Of course, tire pressures depend on surface, outside temperature, driving style, number of runs, etc. etc. The best is to use your own experimentation.
