i know the 17 is vss but i have no idea what the 2 is. the car is 89 civic si with a b16, jdm cluster and pr3 computer. what is causing the vss engine code? the speedo works when i drive. the electronic vss came from an eg. the engine code doesn't turn on right way it happens after a few minutes after i start driving. engine code 17 comes on first then the 2. is the 2 an o2 sensor?
any help would much appriciated. i've tried searching already.

 

engine code 2 is the O2 sensor. Do you have both of your O2's hooked up?

 

second o2 is hooked up. engine code 2 doesn't turn on right away it happens when i've been driving after a couple of minutes. if it wasn't hooked up would it trow an engine code as soon as i start the car? can it be a bad o2 sensor? any way to test it.

yes its probably a bad 02 sensor

 

how about the vss. what could be causing it? when i used the search i saw a few people had the same problem but none of them had a real solution for it. is there just something loose or did i use the wrong one (eg)?
