Default Does this sound right for a boosted ITR?

My friend just turboed his ITR. I posted a thread a little while back about riding in it. The numbers are back and I will be adding the dyno sheet as soon as he scans it into the computer and emails it to me.

PSI = 6
MaxHP = 227whp
MaxTQ = 176wtq
1/4 = 13.723 @105.05

What do you all think... does everything look kosher?

716 wtq???

but with 227HP i figure his 1/4 time would be a bit faster than 13.7.. unless he was spinning the whole time.

227hp seems a little low to me.

i think with that much torque, he should be solidly in the 8's...

mph sound right for the whp, as long as torque is 176 at the wheels.. what else do you know about his setup, like which turbo kit/turbo size?

I think that looks about right for 6psi. I'm sure some good tuning will see it even higher. That time sucks but the trap speed means it is good for high 12's with traction.

sc or turbo....I didn't see that specified, Iwould think that it would make a diff in 1/4 mile times.

6 psi is pretty conservative - that being said - I think those numbers are fine.

Better tires and traction bars will help at the strip.

Yep.. fixed the typo. Sorry about that. The only other input I can provide is

Custom turbo with garret parts.
Custom exhaust manifold
Custom intercooler
Greater CC injectors. (not sure about the numbers)
He only paid 3g's.

I was thinking of doing the same in the near future but I was not liking the result of power. Its not as much as I would have hoped. I think with 3g worth the parts you can have a n/a car that fast.... if not faster.

For only $3000 I'm betting that he doesn't have fuel management, wondering what is being used in place of it, and I'm wondering what wastegate and BOV that he's running. The times are very slow for that power level, with traction it should be deep into the 12's.

Try about 15 pounds of boost instead - I'm sure your opinion will change

your boy needs some major major tuning...most boosted Rs are at least running 300-350 even 400 whp. But the numbers do sound right.

As opposed to the ITR's that only make 260hp for 3/4ths of the day? Sorry just found that funny.

it sounds a bit low to me.i would think more like about 280.it probably just needs to be tuned.most kits are that way without any tuning though.

of course! why didnt i see it!

all turbos running 6psi on a itr yield the same amount and act the same! it must be because all the turbos made to run on a itr at 6psi are the exact friggin size...

this is my input too. cool?

edit: btw, i prefer e-thug. thx

probably not, and he might now have the right size turbo for 6psi.
