i have CR-VTEC, id rather have my old GSR back and sleeve and bored to ~86mm
if your buying everything piece by piece get B16 head, B18C block, ITR tranny.

I was in the same position not to long ago,it was either a poor mans type r or crvtec and i chose the poor mans R.I searched the pros and cons for both of them and found out the b20 block has a worst r/s ration,no oil squirters and no block girdle, but it does have a longer stroke. That may not mean **** to anyone else, but to me it does. Both of the blocks were going to be sleeved which mean i could have the gsr in a 84mm bore just like the b20.Thats my opinion and im sure others will say different, just trying to help out

thats not necessarily true..the r/s ratio isnt as bad as you make it seem..it does have the same r/s as the LS and with everthing balanced it will spin to 10k without problems til down the road (like every other car that spins to 10k) also when you sleeve your block, most of the time they do remove the oil squirters anyways (that are of no use when you have forged pistons). The lack of block girdle does make people sad but look at what you can get:

and you would have to bore B18C to 85mm to equal the volume of the B20 at 84mm..but ive been looking at some dynos and the torque curve on the 89mm cranks do look broader, flater and higher then the 87mm cranks...
