Default Turbo Choice Dilemma

Hey guys

At the moment i have a GT25 (or GT28) turbo for my F22B1. This turbo is rated at 320hp and has the following specs:

0.64a/r Turbine Housing (5 bolt outlet)
0.60a/r Compressor Housing (TB03)
Watercooler Centre
60 Trim Compressor Wheel
31 lbs/min Comp Flow Max.
62 Trim Turbine Wheel
Integral Wastegate 7psi

Recently i have heard of a T3/T4 that has popped up for a good price, the specs being:

3" INLET DIAMETER
2" OUTLET
WET FLOATING BALL BEARINGS
1/8 NPT OIL INLET
3/8 NPT COOLANT
T3 / T4 FOOTPRINT OK !!
Standard T3 Flange
SPECS:
.57 COMPRESSOR WHEEL TRIM
.60 A/R COMPRESSOR
.63 A/R TURBINE

Which would be a better match to my engine? I'd like to see boost quite early (something like 3000rpm would be good)...the T3/T4 would also require and external wastegate as well which complicates things as i'd have to import a Tial from the States (the GT turbo has an internal wastegate with 7psi spring)

I'd stay away form internal wastegates.

Plus, I have a t3/t4b and I think its on the small side for the F22b1.

I'd go with the second option if possible.

You reckon it'll spool up quick enough?

I know the GT will, being ball bearing and a little smaller

Cheers dude, was hoping you'd answer this one

I'd go with the T3/T4. Avoid BB turbos, as they don't provide much gain and tend to be weaker. And replacing the center section will cost more than a new T3/T4.

In the states yeh, however here T3/t4's go for more than the GT series do!

Thanks for the comments guy, i think i will have my manifold designed so that i can accept an external gate if need be, and for now try out the GT just to see what it'll do.

If i go T3/T4 now i'll have to sell the GT and wont know for sure what it could have done. At the very least it'll be an interesting experiment and will yield more data for everyone out there

I'm certain that the T3/T4 will yield more power, and will most likely be a better match, however after giving it a good deal of thought it would the whole project back a little cos of the money needed to purchase it and a wastegate...i'd rather get the show on the road first, get boosted and then go for the hybrid if i get bored

Thanks once again...you have no idea how much i appreciate the input from the Accord guys here. Without yas i certainly wouldn't be boosting mine as i would have no info to go on and would've put it in the too hard basket!

I run a T3/T4E on my f22b1 and it is sized just right. No compressor surge and spools up pretty descent.
