I was wondering if a a/f guage would work on a non obd setup. the o2 sensors are 1wire o2's. Would I just tap into the one wire or what. I dont know. any input would be great.

I guess, but I was thinking someone might know already. I know its not the most accurate but I would still like to check my vitals before I go beating on my NA motor, and before I make it to the dyno.

What makes you think OBDII is so special?!? All it is is an O2 sensor with a heater attached. The only difference is that non-OBD cars don't have the heater =P. Just attach the air/fuel ratio gauge to the one wire, somewhere near the ECU.
I personally have the O2 sensor tapped into the output from a DPST switch, and each of the poles hooked up to an O2 sensor output on a dual-O2 sensor B16A. So I can toggle between the O2 sensor outputs on each bank of cylinders. It's kind of interesting to flip back and forth sometimes
