Default 'homemade' radiator hose... will this be alright? pics

Hey... I needed a radiator hose that snaked under the piping for my turbo... so I combined two hoses and used a copper elbow. Will the copper corode in any way? The ID of the copper elbow is very similiar to the ID of the radiator hose...

if you wanted to be extra careful, you could try and find a high temp silicone or other sealent, and then put 2 hose clamps at each end. just check it everyonce in a while to see if there are coolant stains on the hose

haha.... but i guess its ok since they make those copper radiator stop leaks, and since you put copper spray on your headgasket.

Most OEM radiators are made of copper. Now they are starting to use a plastic and aluminum hybrid for weight and cost. But for a good 40 years, all the radiators were copper.

EDIT: most race radiators are made out of aluminum because they ex-spell heat fast and are lighter.
