Why is my car idling @ 1100 RPMs????? Please help
Just finished my swap of a JDM B16a into a '95 DX hatch, everything runs well, but the motor idles at 1100 RPMs with the idle adjust screw set as far down as it will go. I am very puzzled by this need help from the experts here. TIA
try tightening down all throttle body bolts, intake manifold bolts, iacv bolts, check to make sure all vacum lines are connected, also check to make sure your throttle cable is adjusted correctly so the throttle plate is not opened at all. (there should be a tiny bit of slack in the throttle cable).

better than when i got my jdm b16 and it wouldnt idle above 350 no matter how much i adjusted the screw...this is what i did to finally correct it...
unplug the sensor on the back on the intake manifold
then adjust the screw to where you would like it to idle
turn the engine off and plug the sensor back in
reset the ecu
after 5-10 mins start the car and let idle to operating temp
now my car will idle above 350 the thing was i wasnt resetting the ecu after i adjusted the idle all of the previous times...now it stays where i set it at which is about 900 so a little more adjustment and i should be good
good luck...by the way mine was a second gen...so i dunno if yours is the same

I don't think there are any vacuum leaks, but that has to be it. I had to fab a bracket to extend the throttle cable bracket so it would work ( because it idled @ 2500 before that ) so that isn't the problem. I guess I'll check all of the bolts and make sure they are tight.

Yeah, I had some IAT problems when we first got it running but fixed that. I adjusted the idle according to the manual ( unplugging the IAT, then adjusting idle and resetting the ECU )
BTW it is a second gen also.
