Default Keep old ecu or use new ?

I am going to swap out the D15B1 in my civic now and put in a B16A1.
I have heard that the original ecu works better after being reprogramed than the one I would receive with the motor and trans that I would buy.
If anyone has any experience with this I'm interested in hearing your stories and knowledge

Thanks
