ls vtec or high compression b16a with cams
ok i have a b16a in an eg hatch . i bought a ls long block and 11.5-1 pistons for it to build an lsvtec. but should i build my b16a. what will make more power and i wont have to worry about problems with.im a actual honda tech so im mechanicly inclined. just caught in a situation what to do any sugestions
b16s have a perfect R/S ratio for reliablity and good safe high revving.
it is undeniable that ls/vtecs have good torque, but they also have a less than good R/S ratio resulting in higher cyl wall wear due to the more aggressive angle of piston descent in the motor. (my prefrence is ls/vtec becuase the power and torque is amazing, but i like b16s too).
