b16s have a perfect R/S ratio for reliablity and good safe high revving.

it is undeniable that ls/vtecs have good torque, but they also have a less than good R/S ratio resulting in higher cyl wall wear due to the more aggressive angle of piston descent in the motor. (my prefrence is ls/vtec becuase the power and torque is amazing, but i like b16s too).
