Default Stock Radio Code?

I know that sometimes the accord radion code is somewhere in the car. My friend needs his radio code for his 1996 Accord. This car is also canadian. Where in the hell is the code?

Thanks

Its no where to be found in the manual. It says that you need one but not where it is.

It's on a card that says "Honda Radio Code".

If it's a used car, chances are the cards are lost. Then you'll have go see your local Honda dealer.

the person that had my car before me had it written in the owners manual. otherwise, you will have to go to your local dealer to get the code...

check the glove box their might be a sticker with numbers on it. That is hte radio code. Or check the car manual pouch the radio code is on a car and it might be in their. That is where the Honda dealership usually put them. The worst that could hppen is that u have to pull out the radio and get the number off of it and bring it in to a dealer and get the radio code.

If you can find out what dealership the car was originally sold from they typically keep the code on file there. THat's what I did for my mom's 98. They usually have it in the person who bought the car's file or they save it in the maintenance records in their system.

take the radio out, and look on it and there should be some numbers on it. I'm not exactly sure what, but there is a S/N number, or at least should be, and some other nubmer, possibly model number. in any case, write them down, call your local honda dealership, and they will be able to get you teh code by telling them the S/N.

some dealerships might tell you that you need to bring the car in to show proof that you own it. i called one dealership, and they said that, then i said, "now why would someone want to steal a STOCK honda accord stereo". he still didn't give me the code, so i called a 2nd dealership, and he got it in 10 seconds.
