How important is a Valve job during my rebuild?
Im building a new motor, and im really really low on money, so i can either get a friend to put together my head for free...or take it to get all the routine machine work done it for about $200. I need to know how important getting a valve job would be...if any? Let me know guys

u should always get it done..you can do it yourself if you buy feeler guages and bend a 10mm wrench to 90 deg. at the closed end. http://www.c-speedracing.com
i'm not sure if he means adjustment or job
as long as your in spec you don't need a valve job but always do a valve adjustment

I was talking about Valve job...so they seat and seal properly.
The head and valves are both in good condition, Its just the fact that its an 89 B16 head, and im gonna run 98 GSR valves
