possible to recondition O2 sensors?

Default possible to recondition O2 sensors?

since VX O2s only last about 100k, is it possible to recondition it at all?

I have heard peeps have used brake cleaner, to get a little more life out of them. However, probably best to just get a new one in the long run...

true but seeing the lacking of NTK to make teh VX sensors we cant all afford 400$ can we..

supposedly you can get a torch and heat them up for a certian amount of time then measure for resistance. Not sure on the exact specs tho.

Running a engine to lean can destroy an O2, which would "almost" be the same as putting a torch to it. They are suppose to run in the 600+ degree range in most cases. Might try the junk yards, or posting in the classifieds(sp) on some of the different forums in order to find one...
