hondata for EP3
has anyone had there ecu reflashed...if so how do you like it, and how long does it take to get it back from them...also kind of a n00b question, but on the hondata website it says that after reflashing the ecu it raises the rev limit to 7700 what is stock rev limit?
edit: do you think its worth the $500+ to get this done? and what happens if i want to add a turbo later? will the ecu effect this?

edit: what are the risks involving the reflash?

red line is 6800 stock.. w/ 7200 fuel cut off..
from my readings.. it seems that flash works better on the RSX type s.. I would hold off until you decide if you want to FI or NA. What are your goals?

my goals will be FI, so what your saying is that stock i would be able to rev up to 7200?

no you can rev to 7700 (but i also heard the revamp of the reflash that they did to get rid of the detonation only lets you go to 7500)

Since I already have the program in my si along with a comptech header, comptech exhaust, and injen intake I would say it was all worth the money. The hondata program is the ****. When you put it back in your car and go for a drive it feels like a completely different car. The engine sounds different and with a i/h/e the car just kicks ***. You can really feel the power. Comptech and hondata all the way. The extra revs are really needed. You won't be dissapointed.

Yes, you won't be disappointed. You can put your ECU back to stock settings if you do not like it and get your money back within 30 days. Hondata has great customer service.

Make up your mind now.
Or, call Hondata with your questions. They might give you a different price for the turbo flash if you already have the n/a flash.

You purchase the flash from a dealer. A dealer does not need to ship the ecu out for you--you can do that yourself at your convienience. If your dealer gives you issues about this, go to a more on-line hondata dealer, such as http://www.ks-motorsports.com
