prelude motor mounts...the same?
does anyone know if the prelude rear motor mounts are the same for teh 4th gen and 5th gen? i need to get energy suspension bushings, but they don't make it for the 5th gen. any help would be appreciated

yes, some people talked about having to trim the back mount a little, not sure but it's might be because they did it with the engine in and probably couldn't wedge it in without trimming a little.

Has nothing to do with the motor being out or not. The bolt that secures the mount to the subframe will not go in straight due to the added width of the insert.

I got the two bolts in on the back of the mount but i cannot do anything to get the front one in the rear mount. Are you saying that if i trim some of the inserts off then it will go in because i have had just those two bolts in for like a month and a half. I hope that is the answer to my problem.

ok....so if i buy the energy suspension inserts for the 4th gen model...could i fit them into all of the 5th gen motor mounts(sides and rear) or just rear? also, do i have to get the 4th gen motor mounts or what do i have to do?
All they are are inserts for the torque positions which are the front of the motor and rear. There are no side inserts and they fit into your exsisting mounts.

You cant get the middle bolt in? Refer to a picture in my write-up I did so I can tell what you are talking about.... http://members.***.net/4bidden/mount_install
