SoCal Dyno Day
Date: 5/17/2003
Location: Autolink Motorworks
Address: 4961 Santa Anita Ave. Suite A
Temple City, California 91780
Time: 11am-5pm
The price is $40 for 3 dyno runs, and a printout of the results. The friendly staff at Autolink will be providing all of us with FREE FOOD AND FREE DRINKS. So even if you dont wanna dyno your car, stop by and lets have some fun. Any 2wd vehicle is welcome to come, anything from Fords, to VWs, to Chevys, to Hondas, anything that wants to see how much power it has is welcome. (just no 4wd cars, but soon
)
I am taking appointments right now for those of you interested. This is how it will work:
We will have a appointment every 30 min, so first appointment will be at 11:00am. And once that person has had their car dynoed, we will take walk-ins until 11:30 which is when the next appointment will be. Then after the 11:30 appointment we will take another set of walk-ins until 12:00pm when the next appointment is, and so on and so forth.
Lunch is from 1pm-2pm, so no dyno'ing during that hour.
I will be taking appointments between the hours 11am -3:30pm, so if you are interested please IM me.
Then everything from 3:30pm-5:00pm will be open walk-in dyno.
If you want your car dynoed, please be sure you have full exhaust, no open header, TOW HOOKS UP FRONT on hondas is a must.
If you have any more questions please feel free to IM me.
Thank you
Arno

1000HP Clayton dyno.
How does the readings from a Clayton differ from, say, a Dynojet?

You talking about Charles? Is that where he went after Area 51 shut down? I wanted to get my car tuned by him at some point and was pissed when I found out Area 51 was gone.

We had the article posted on Team Integra before, let me see if I can find it.
edit- found it, add .orig.jpg to the end of the image location to get the readable size

hmm.
I saw a CTR motor with bolt-ons putting down 165 whp and my friends B18C-R with bolt-ons made 170 whp. This was on a Clayton at Area51 a few months ago..
that seems about right, so the numbers should be the same..

I just wanted to make sure because I'm looking to get a baseline and I don't want the numbers to be way off in case I'm obligated to get a second dyno run at a shop with a different machine.

It's best to just always use the same dyno and shop. Otherwise you'll have to get a new baseline once you switch dyno's. They aren't created equal.
